Artists use a combination of different locations as their setting. For our music video we plan to use a forest, a house and a cafe, with the main performance thaking place in the foest. Here are some different ways in which a forests have been used in music videos.
Florence and the machine - rabbit heart
A soft focus lense has been used to lighten the forest and give it a pleasent warm glow. The season itself obviously helps to create the idealistic view. For our video we shall be filing closer to winter mkaing it harder to achieve this glow.
Paramore - decode
The forest is dark, grey and sharp. A HD camera has been used so that even the background of the shots is sharp. The area has clearly been carefully selected for its vast folliage, this is obvious as there is no light coming through during the band's performance.
Ellie goulding - guns and horses
This video is clearly shot in summer as you can tell by the light streaming through the trees, they've tried to cover this with the use of a smoke machine and mid-shots in darker parts of the forest have been used to achieve the desired affect.
